TEXPAC Endorses Rep. Sarah Davis for Reelection to Texas House

February 8, 2016

AUSTIN — TEXPAC, the political advocacy arm of the Texas Medical Association (TMA), has endorsed Rep. Sarah Davis (R-West University Place) for reelection to the Texas House of Representatives.

“TEXPAC enthusiastically endorses Representative Davis for reelection to House District 134 because she has been a consistent supporter of Texas physicians and their patients since she first took office,” said TEXPAC Chair Robert Rogers, MD. “As both a legislator and cancer survivor, she is responsive and accessible to physicians, and she consistently works to protect Texas doctors in their medical practices and respects the coveted patient-physician relationship.”

Dr. Rogers also noted Representative Davis’ steadfast support for important population health policies, including backing vaccine legislation to protect Texans from preventable diseases.

“Representative Davis’ district is unique in how many of our Texas physicians live and serve patients there,” Dr. Rogers said, “and we know her and know we can work with her. It is vitally important to the health of Houstonians and Texans to return Sarah to office to continue her valuable service to help us care for our patients.”
