MISSION

TEXPAC is a bipartisan political action committee established by the Texas Medical Association. TEXPAC works to advance the TMA’s mission of improving the health of all Texans while enabling its members to protect their patients through political education and activism.

TEXPAC was created in 1962 when TMA realized physicians needed to be politically proactive to protect their patients and practices. Fortunately for medicine, TEXPAC works hard long before each 140-day state legislative session begins by electing the right candidates, and educating candidates and elected officials about Texas medicine so they can make informed decisions.

TEXPAC memberships are contributions that allow medicine to support and champion leaders whose priorities align with our own. Together, we can help elect officials who understand the issues that matter to physicians and who share our support for health and medical legislation that improves the health of all Texans. Resident and Student TEXPAC Membership Options

Residents and students play a crucial role in TEXPAC’s mission. They provide invaluable insight and perspective on the issues facing students and residents. TEXPAC gives these young leaders opportunities to become involved in and knowledgeable of major political issues involving health care.

Resident and student discounted membership levels.

  • Patron Club: $5,000 the first year, $2,500 every year thereafter, includes Physician and Spouse ($417/month)
  • Capitol Club: $200 per year
  • 300 Club: $60 per year
  • Basic Resident: $40 per year
  • Basic Student: $10 per year

TMA Alliance TEXPAC Membership Options

TMA Alliance members and physicians work tirelessly, staffing phone banks and walking door-to-door to get out the vote for TEXPAC-endorsed candidates running in tight races.

TEXPAC Alliance annual membership options:

  • Patron Club: $5,000 ($417/month) the first year, $2,500 ($209/month) every year thereafter, includes Physician and Spouse
  • Capitol Club: $1,000 per year, includes Physician and Spouse ($84/month)
  • 300 Club: $300 per year
  • Basic Alliance: $55 per year
  • Resident Spouse: $20 per year
  • Student Spouse: $10 per year
