Physicians email TEXPAC staff at texpac@texmed.org with the request to recommend endorsement to the TEXPAC Candidate Evaluation Committee (CEC). TEXPAC staff collect these recommendations and present them to the TEXPAC CEC.
If available, county medical societies will interview candidates running in their councilor district about the candidates’ positions on medicine's issues. The CMS executive director sends TEXPAC staff feedback from the society’s members and may provide a recommendation for endorsement. TEXPAC staff present such feedback and recommendations to the TEXPAC CEC.
The TEXPAC CEC evaluates any feedback and recommendations from county medical societies and local physicians before deciding whether to recommend endorsement to the TEXPAC Board of Directors.
The TEXPAC Board of Directors votes on the endorsements recommended by the TEXPAC CEC to determine which candidates will receive TEXPAC’s endorsement.
