Join in the Fight for Medicine

We need YOU! The foes of medicine were able to raise over $3.3 million last year, while TEXPAC could only raise $750,000. The difference in funding means the difference in losing and winning races. We are only as strong as our membership and only as influential as our funding. For 2019, TEXPAC has raised $546,000- we need another $2.5 million to go toe-to-toe with the others. Medicine can no longer be on the sidelines and we have seen the horrors that can happen to medicine when we are not involved. We have a big election cycle ahead of us and we cannot win if we can’t be a heavy hitter. We need to help elect those that will support medicine and not work against it. Candidate contributions equal access, open doors and relationships with our physicians. Join or upgrade your membership NOW to help us reach our goal!

TEXPAC donates to political campaigns- TMA cannot. That is why your TMA dues do not automatically make you a member of TEXPAC.

A Message from our Chair

Alexander Kenton, MD
TEXPAC Chair

"Joining TEXPAC gives physicians the ability to hold politicians accountable for their votes that affect healthcare of all Texans.  Elections have consequences but so do the votes of politicians. I joined to be part of the accountability team. If you want to hold key legislators accountable then you should join TEXPAC and contribute not only in a monetary sense, but in such a way that you are engaged to become the TMA’s face of accountability toward your legislator."

TEXPAC has a strong tradition of enormous success in staving off attacks on tort reform, increasing Medicaid payments, and stopping scope of practice incursions.
